City Buries Bob the Turkey

Bob the Turkey was laid to rest in peace this morning. Members from the buried Bob by the brick Welcome to Olde Towne Woodstock sign on Main Street.

"This is where you would commonly see Bob wandering around," said Parks and Rec Director Preston Pooser. "Typically, cities don't do things like this, but we had people calling from two or three states away about Bob, and we wanted to give him a proper burial."

Bob will have a brick as a place marker that reads, "Bob the Turkey 2012" for those who loved Woodstock's unofficial mascot to walk by and remember him.

Bob was . He's been an idol of Downtown Woodstock since he made his home outside of the Serenade Subdivision in 2011.
