Woodstock Party Shooting Information Still Sought: Sheriff
Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office are contining to investigate a fatal shooting at a Woodstock house party earlier this month.
WOODSTOCK, GA — Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office continue to investigate the fatal shooting on Oct. 17 at a Woodstock house party.
The shooting killed Landon Andrews, 14, of Marietta, and injured Jaden Simmons, 19, of Mableton.
On Oct. 17, an altercation occurred at West 22 Apartments, at 3615 Cherokee St. NW, in Kennesaw. Part of that altercation was on video, and investigators believe that people in the video ended up at a party in Cherokee County, and that the shooting was related to that fight.

Investigators have conducted more than 80 interviews, and continue to follow up on leads and review video evidence from the party.
One of the challenges investigators have faced is locating and interviewing witnesses who left the scene of the shooting before deputies arrived.

Deputies shared photos of two people who were at the party who they want to identify and interview. These two people are not labeled as suspects, rather detectives think they may have information that would assist in the investigation. If anyone recognizes either man, they are asked to call 678-493-4080.


The shooting happened before 1:30 a.m. Sunday at a house party on Victoria Road. Police found Andrews in the back of an SUV with a gunshot wound to the torso, Baker told the AJC. He later died at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Simmons was later taken to Northside Cherokee Hospital with gunshot wounds to his hand and elbow, and he was soon released.
