Various websites are blacking out today to protest the Stop Online Piracy Act.

Don't try to write your English paper today. You won't have any help from Wikipedia. And are you wondering why there is a big, black box across Google?
Those are just two sites protesting the H.R. 3261, Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) by going black today. This bill is designed to be an end to copyright infringement by allowing the government to censor certain websites by completely shutting down violating sites without a traditional trail.
Many leaders have spoke up saying this could damage the functionality of the Internet and freedom of speech.
