Enter the Mysterious World of 'Grimm' This Month at Elm Street
"Grimm" runs October 21 through 31.

WOODSTOCK, GA - This Halloween Season, Elm Street audiences will have the opportunity to join a variety of characters from Grimm’s Fairy Tales as they search the Enchanted Woods for Rapunzel, who has gone missing. But beware… you never know what you will find in the woods.
Thanks to the magic of Disney, Grimm’s Fairy Tales are very familiar to the contemporary American audience. However, the original tales published in 1812 by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, were much darker than our contemporary versions. Elm Street Cultural Arts Village’s production of Grimm reflects a bit of the original darkness of the tales. “The show explores the ulterior motives of many of Grimm’s most familiar characters,“ says Darrell Jolley, the show’s director, “It’s not the same script as the movie or the TV show… it’s a completely new script developed collaboratively at Elm Street.”

“In a departure from ‘Ghost Tales and Trails’ (offered in previous years), where there were multiple “tours” offered, ‘Grimm’ will only be offered once each evening,” says Christopher Brazelton, Elm Street’s Executive Director. “We wanted to have an opportunity for more interaction among the members of the audience, and to build more of a group dynamic while people are enjoying the show.”
The show opens on October 21st, and runs through the 31st. Tickets are available at www.elmstreetarts.org. Grimm will start at the Event Green, and depart from there at 8pm. Refreshments will be available before the show for those who wish to arrive early and enjoy the Sculpture Garden and other aspects of the Green.
