Celebrate the spirit of the 1980s in Downtown Woodstock, from the classic music, movies and dress of the decade.
The 80s Night will feature a costume contest. Everyone that attends 80s Night is encouraged to dress up as their favorite 80s icon or in your favorite 80s fashion style clothing. The winner of the contest will receive a $50 gift certificate good at participating downtown businesses. To be a part of the contest all you have to do is during the event go into the businesses that are open for Friday Night Live in Downtown Woodstock and show them your 80s costume, after the event is over the merchants will vote for their favorite costume and will contact the winner the next week. The more stores you register for the contest in the better chance you have to win!
The event will also feature live music on the sidewalks and a karaoke machine will be set up in front of Seven Arrows.

Seven Arrows will be giving away free passes to bowl one game at AMF to any one who makes a purchase or comes in costume. Will also have refreshments.
Yoguri will offer a 20 percent discount to anyone that purchases a yogurt in costume.

The Pennybag Emporium will be one of the stores judging the 80's costume contest. We also have a bowling game for the kids and free prizes. Come by and try our homemade srawberry shortcake and weather permitting we will have sale tables out front with lots of great winter merchandise at 50 percent off!
The Cotton Mill Deli will feature live music by the "Owl Creek Band" at 7 p.m.
PURE Taqueria rooftop patio will be from 6 till 10 p.m. weather permitting and will feature live music by Ian Schumacher.
Roomscapes Gallery and Heartworks Studio will have an "illuminating" show of Las Vegas style neon lights and signs by Woodstock's own Neon artist Blaine Steven Lusk.Exciting animated neon and backlight alluminum designs as well as other neon work from The Neon Zone. The Cotton Mill Deli will be catering sandwiches and there will be live music from John Gardner...neon orders on the night of FNL will be discounted 10 percent. Don't miss this entertaining show!
FoxTale Book Shoppe will feature cookbook author, Rebecca Lang at 6 p.m., who will be signing and chatting about: QUICK-FIX SOUTHERN: HOMEMADE HOSPITALITY IN 30 MINUTES OR LESS. As contributing editor for Southern Living magazine, Rebecca's newest cookbook promises homemade hospitality--Southern style--in 30 minutes or less. Lang dishes up 115 recipes grouped in ten themes ranging from 'Rise and Shine Breakfasts' to 'Sipping on the Screened Porch' beverages, Girls' Night In party pleasers, and Southern Sweets desserts. As a special treat, Lang will serve up some free samples from her book, so come by and partake!
Starting at 7 p.m., we'll have Open Mic with Bruce Gibson and Tim Morris (the Junkyard Poet). Attendees can share their poetry, spoken word, stand-up comedy or vignette performing art. Join us at FoxTale, where there's always something happening!
Punctuation Boutique will have a tent set up in front of their store with sale items.
Blue Frog Imports will have some refreshments during the event and encourage anyone wearing a costume to the event to stop by.
The Woodstock Visitors Center will host game night, where you can play your favorite board of card game in the historic setting of Dean's Store.
Snowy Joes will be set up in front of the Woodstock Visitors Center selling Snow Cones.
Salon Bastille will be open at 7:30 p.m. and will have some refreshments.
Other merchants taking part in the event are Hot Dog Heaven, Samson & Delilah Antiques, LKT Sports Art, Val's Happy Shack, Canyon Burgers, Ember Hot Yoga, Pure Taqueria, Maxwell's Cigar Bar, Alex N Sis, HoneyButter, Holly Springs Jewelers, Right Wing Tavern, The Magnolia Thomas Restaurant and Vingenzo's.
Spend the first Friday of every month in Olde Towne Woodstock and enjoy the many restaurants and stores that the area has to offer as the Downtown Merchants stay open late, 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
For each Friday Night Live theme participating Downtown Merchants will have activities going on at their stores and throughout the Downtown area related to the theme of the month.
