February is School Choice Month for the Cherokee County School District!

In February, CCSD opens the opportunity for parents to request a school reassignment for the next school year, including our STEM, STEAM and Fine Arts Academies, and our online high school, i-Grad Virtual Academy. February also typically is the kickoff for Pre-K, kindergarten and Grades 1-12 new student enrollment for the next school year, but as we’re building a new student registration system, that process will instead begin in March.

- Apply Feb. 1-March 1 for school choice reassignment for any of the 17 schools (12 elementary schools, including five Cherokee Academies – STEM, Fine Arts and STEAM; three middle schools; two high schools) with capacity for next school year;
- Apply Feb. 1-March 1 for i-Grad Virtual Academy online program for Grades 9-12 for next school year;
- Register online beginning March 7 to enroll a new kindergartener or any student Grades 1-12 who will be new to CCSD for next school year;
- Apply March 20-31 for the Georgia Pre-K lottery drawing for a spot in CCSD’s Pre-K program for next school year; and,
- Learn more about other CCSD school choice programs, including Cherokee College & Career Academy, ACE Academy, Mountain Education Charter High School and other Pre-K and preschool programs, including Head Start and Special Education.
