Girl Scouts Offer App, Card Payments

Girl Scout cookie orders have begun, and local cookie booths will open Feb. 17.

Been craving Thin Mints, Samoas or Tagalongs? There's an app for that!

The 42,000 girls of the 3,500 troops of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta began taking cookie orders this weekend, but this year they have new tools to push the cookies that fund their programs through what the organization describes as a hands-on financial literacy program.

So you won't miss an opportunity to buy Trefoils, Do-si-dos or the new Savannah Smiles, a tart lemon flavor cookie, the scouts have unveiled the Girl Scout Cookie locator app for iPhone and Android.
