Golf Cart Registration Starts Jan. 1 In Woodstock
The city in September passed an ordinance to allow modified golf carts and PTVs to operate on streets with a 25 mph or less speed limit.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Owners who wish to use their modified golf carts and personal transportation vehicles on certain public roadways in Woodstock will soon have to register those devices with the city.
Starting Jan. 1, 2019, owners of these vehicles will have to register them with the Woodstock Community Development Department. In September, the City Council passed an ordinance to allow these carts and PTVs to operate on streets with posted speed limits of 25 mph or less. The ordinance goes into effect March 1, 2019.
Registered vehicles will receive a decal with a registration number assigned to the PTV that must be affixed to the rear fender directly behind the driver. Only vehicles operating on private property are exempt from this ordinance.
