The budget is rather slim tonight. But you never know with this bunch. At an afternoon work session, the commissioners heard from Woodstock officials about a proposed outlet mall there called . At its Dec. 13 meeting, the unanimously approved a request from Horizon Group Properties to move forward with the proposed 365,000-square-foot outlet mall at the intersection of Ridgewalk Parkway and Interstate 575, according to <a href="http://www.horizongroup.com/post/sections/4/Files/CityApprovesWoodstockGA.pdf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">a news release from Horizon</a>. Woodstock is requesting $700,000 from the county for assistance with Ridgewalk Parkway improvements. Woodstock officials suggested using a portion of the $3 million in SPLOST funds that will probably not go to the Arnold Mill by-pass. Another outlet mall in unincorporated Cherokee County is proposed at Hwy. 92/ I-75. The commissioners took no action.
