  1. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing 24-year-old woman. Anya Love FangLi Bailey was last seen at her home in the Bridgemill subdivision on Thursday. It is thought that she left in the middle of the night on foot. She is about 4-foot-10, 95 pounds, with dark brown hair and eyes. Please call 911 if you know her location or have information for law enforcement. Follow the link to see a picture of the missing woman. (Cherokee County Sheriff's Office via Facebook)
  2. Cherokee Recreation and Parks is holding a Volunteer Trail Clean Up and Maintenance day on October 8. Some tools will be provided to the volunteers, please register so the department can plan accordingly. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Please reach out to Adam Fussell at cafussell@cherokeega.com to register or hear more details. (Cherokee Recreation and Parks via Facebook)
  3. Construction of a new traffic pattern will be started next week on I-285 near the Roswell Road exit. Because of the construction, the Glenridge Drive/GA-400 exit will be moved to right before the Roswell Road overpass. The planned ramp will be longer and wider than the existing ramps and will help handle more traffic in preparation for a future project that will see I-285 blocked later this year. (WSB Radio)
  4. An Ohio-based barbeque restaurant will be opening up in Woodstock on Highway 92. City Barbeque has existing locations in Decatur, Johns Creek and Sandy Springs. Along with the new Woodstock location, owners plan to open up a location in Snellville in the future. The restaurant will be near the intersection of Fitchburg Drive and will be about 3,800 square feet with both a drive-thru and a patio. (What Now Atlanta)
  5. A Cherokee County man will be spending the next 12 years in prison for multiple crimes against a child. After Lomack Deamonte Pridgen is released from prison, he will spend the rest of his life on probation as a registered sex offender. Pridgen was known to the child and he plead guilty during the trial. (WSB-TV)
