The Realtor will see you now

Imagine you had a realtor who was as attentive and caring to clients as, say, a great physician’s assistant was to patients in the operating room. The analogy might seem like a stretch, until you meet Michale Pena.

For much of her career, Michale has worked as a Surgical First Assistant to one of our area’s top orthopedic surgeons. It’s a demanding, high-stress job that requires the highest level of attentiveness, precision and service. Along the way, Michale, who has spent her whole life in the Woodstock area, started helping her medical colleagues solve another problem: figuring out where to live in our area’s tight housing market.

These days, Michale is a rising star at Berkshire Hathaway, offering the same level of attention to detail, responsiveness and service she learned in the operating room to buyers and sellers in our area. Don’t take our word for it. Here’s what a recent client says:

“Michale was fantastic from start to finish. She took all the stress off of us. She is a true professional, and we highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in buying or selling a home.”

Here are the top four stories in Woodstock-Towne Lake today:

  1. Northside Hospital is planning for the construction of a medical building near the intersection of Ragsdale Road and Highway 92. Earlier this week, the Woodstock City Council approved Northside's application for the annexation of a parcel adjacent to two plots already owned by the hospital. The application also requested the rezoning of that portion from residential to the office space / institutional zoning held by the rest of the land. The approval, however, came with conditions to include a review of the turn lanes into and out of the building after 180 days, the installation of public art on the site and the placement of a privacy fence along the north side of the land. (Subscription: Cherokee Tribune & Ledger-News)
  2. An extremely accomplished 2018 Woodstock High School graduate has received a full scholarship to the Yale School of Medicine. Sasha Stogniy is currently a medical assistant at Cherokee Women's Health Specialists, and back in 2018, she graduated as the class valedictorian. Following high school, she attended the University of Georgia with a full scholarship, graduating with honors in both biochemistry and Russian literature. Not only was Yale eager to accept Stogniy, several other medical schools were interested and offered full scholarships. (Subscription: Cherokee Tribune & Ledger-News)
  3. The Reeves House is holding a new exhibition in June, and you could be one of the stars! The "All the Fixins: Artists from the South" exhibit is a juried show, where contestants from the southern states can submit their work to be shown and judged by a three-person panel. To enter, you must be over 18 and live in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina or Tennessee. You can find the requirements and submit your work at the link, it must be in by May 23. Good luck, everyone! (Woodstock Arts)
  4. The Brown Bag Concert Series is back! Starting on May 4, you can catch the live music around the Gazebo in Park at City Center. The concerts will take place every Thursday at noon, it's a prefect break to a stressful day at work. The first performance will be Danielle McLean, and on May 11, it'll be Mark Miller. You could even bring along lunch and a blanket for the perfect lunchtime activity and atmosphere. The Gazebo is located at 101 Arnold Mill Road. (Woodstock Parks and Recreation via Facebook)
