Police Charge Acworth Teen in 11 Auto Cases
Woodstock police connect a 17-year-old to 11 unlocked cars entered illegally Dec. 4.

has issued 11 felony warrants against an Acworth teen believed to be involved in a series of automobile break-ins in the Deer Run subdivision Dec. 4.
Matthew Thomas Murry, 17, is charged with 10 counts of entering an automobile and one count of criminal attempt to enter an automobile.
Eleven vehicles were unlawfully entered Saturday morning, and GPS devices and cellular phones were taken. Woodstock police have not recovered the stolen items.

Reports indicated that all 11 vehicles were unlocked.
Investigators collected fingerprints from five of the vehicles and found matches for Murry's prints on four of them, police said. Murry does not have family or friends living at Deer Run, so police said he had no legitimate reason to be there.

Murry is in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center on unrelated charges.
