Qualifying Field Set In Woodstock For May 24 Primary
The qualifying period for the May 24 primaries ended Friday. Candidates filed for Cherokee County Commission, Board of Education and more.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Qualifying for the May 24 primary and nonpartisan elections in Georgia closed Friday, and most Cherokee County legislators and representatives will have opposition this year.
Ballots for Cherokee County voters will include chairperson of the county commissioners; county commissioners in districts 1 and 4; school board members in districts 3, 4, 5, and 6; tax commissioner; state court judge; solicitor general; U.S. Senate; state Senate districts 21, 32, and 56; state House districts 11, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23, 44, 46, 47; and U.S. House of Representatives districts 6 and 11.
The ballots will also include statewide elections, such as governor, secretary of state, attorney general, agriculture commissioner, insurance commissioner, state school superintendent and labor commissioner.
