The Cherokee County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections Sept. 12-19 at the following establishments:

• Observed young child in back kitchen area repeatedly. Children are not authorized to be in food preparation and storage areas. Do not allow children in these areas.
• Prep top cooler unit and back kitchen residential unit not maintaining Time/Temp Control for Safety (TCS) foods at 41°F (tofu 52; pork 53; cooked noodles 46) TCS items relocated to working walk-in unit. Have front reach-in serviced. Do not use residential-type refrigerator for storage of meats, noodles, of tofu--raw product only.
• Cabinets in front counter area are packed with miscellaneous items restricting cleaning. Remove unused items to allow cleaning in this area.
• Floors under equipment are soiled with debris and must be cleaned. Back kitchen area in generally in poor condition.
• Observed doors open to establishment. Exterior doors must remain closed.
• Observed live roaches in facility. May need more frequent pest control service. Also need to improve cleaning in many areas.
• Remarks: Facility is not approved for dining due to restroom location. Do not provide seating for dine-in.
