- The Cherokee Sheriff's Office has put out an updated message on its Facebook page about the missing woman out of Cherokee County. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office has stated they are following up on leads received, but they are still searching for Laura Ann Linde. The 65-year-old woman was last seen on Saturday and was supposed to meet up with friends for dinner, but she never made it to the restaurant. Linde is described as 4 feet, 11 inches and 95 pounds. No clothing description was provided. She was last heard from via text message at 6 p.m. on Saturday. She drives a grey Nissan Sentra with the tag SAJ4613. - An arrest has been made in a Thanksgiving Day crash that took the lives of a Creekview High School graduate and her father. The 24-year-old suspect, William Clark of Canton, has been charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle and failure to maintain lane. Tests revealed he was not under the influence at the time, it is believed he fell asleep while driving, crossing the center line into the victims' lane. A GoFundMe was created after the accident, and to date it has raised over $40,000 for the family of Chris Mynes, 52, and Alivia Mynes, 18. (WSB-TV)
- In celebration of love, the Cherokee County Animal Shelter is waiving the adoption fee for all animals through this Friday. You can see the available pets here, and they'll all have their spay or neuter, heartworm and leukemia testing, initial vaccinations, deworming, flea preventative and microchip completed. You'll also get a sample bag of food and more with every adoption. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It's located at 1015 Univeter Road in Canton.
