Possible Tornado, Hail, Strong Storms Likely Friday In North Georgia
Severe thunderstorms may happen across north Georgia on Friday, including the possibility of a tornado, hail and strong winds.
NORTH GEORGIA — As strong storms move across Georgia on Friday, a hazardous weather outlook has been issued for portions of north and central Georgia.
A few rounds of scattered strong-to-severe thunderstorms, moving from west to east will, cross the metro Atlanta area between midmorning and late afternoon Friday. Some storms will be capable of damaging winds, large hail and even a brief tornado.
Heavy rain could also result in sudden water rises in creeks and small streams, and elevate the flood risk over urban areas.
