  1. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is searching for three people suspected of shooting a BB gun at patrons of the Kroger on Hickory Flat Highway. The incident took place on November 7 just after 8 p.m. in the parking lot of the store. The suspects were riding in a black Chevrolet Camaro. You can see the suspects’ pictures here. Please call the Sheriff's Office at 470-281-7208 if you have information about the incident or suspects. (Fox 5 Atlanta and Cherokee Sheriff's Office via Facebook)
  2. The Woodstock Public Safety Foundation held its annual Shop with a Hero event Saturday. Members of the Woodstock police and fire departments brought 159 children shopping for Christmas presents, the trip totaling around $23,000 in gifts. The program is partially funded by citizen donations and it is hosted each year by the Walmart on Highway 92. Since the program's creation over 20 years ago, more than 1,900 children have been helped. (Woodstock Police via Facebook)
  3. Woodstock native Bryce Leatherwood won the competition show “The Voice” on Tuesday evening. The finale began on Monday evening with performances from the top contestants. Neighbors around Woodstock headed down to the Event Green downtown to watch the final performances on the big screen. As part of the prize package, Leatherwood was awarded with a recording contract. Congratulations, Bryce! (11 Alive)
  4. A local woman and her adult son are facing several federal charges for their suspected parts in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capital. Lisa Eisenhart of Woodstock and her son, Eric Munchel of Nashville, were seen in photographs wearing bulletproof vests. Munchen was also equipped with zip ties and a stun gun. In the video allegedly recorded by Munchen, the two can be seen hiding weapons in a bag outside before their entry into the Capital. Assault rifles, a sniper rifle with a tripod, shotguns, pistols, ammunition and a drum-style magazine were located in a subsequent search of Munchen's home in Nashville. The two have been on home confinement since March 2021, with restrictions on their internet access and contact with others involved in the riot. If found guilty, they could each serve up to 20 years in prison. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
