The "Holiday Shopping Craze" is quickly approaching, and there are many specialty days to choose from. The ever-so-popular Black Friday brings deals and savings at the malls, and Cyber Monday treats the growing online shopping trend.
But now, there's a new player in the shopping world, Small Business Saturday, focused on giving the growing entrepreneurs a voice in the game.
The Saturday following Thanksgiving don't wake up at 4 a.m. or stare at your computer, take a pleasant stroll to your local business to find unique gifts for this holiday season.

What draws people to your business? "People are often nervous about trying new things. Ember strives to be open and inviting through our location and the ease of accessibility to our classes. Once someone gives it a try, most of the time they leave feeling like they've had more then just a great workout; they've had an experience that brightens the rest of their day. Over time that feeling is like gravity, drawing students to continue practicing yoga." Why do you like being in Downtown Woodstock? "Downtown Woodstock is filled with a vibrant energy every day of the week. There are people outside enjoying themselves, exploring the shops and restaurants, listening to live music and just having fun. It is a great place to meet and connect with people. That openness and energy fills the studio every day." What is the best part of being a small business owner? "The best part is definitely being able to talk with people and to get to know them. Ember feels like a community space and we love sharing that space with everyone."
