Towne Lake ALDI to Open in May

ALDI is coming to Towne Lake and making a grand entrance May 3.

Not only with shoppers be able to attend the Grand Opening ceremony at 8:45 Thursday morning, they will be able to enter on-site sweepstakes for a chance to win an international trip for two or a "Be a Grilling Sensation" prize that includes a new grill, accessories and an ALDI gift certificate.

The Towne Lake ALDI is located at 2014 Eagle Drive and features the "new look" of the discount grocery store, said Tasneem Nomanbhai, an ALDI representative. The stores will offer customers a simple and easy-to-navigate shopping experience with high ceilings, improved natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and light bulbs.

This opening, along with the celebration of a Sandy Springs and Roswell location on May 3 as well, marks the expansion of more than 30 stores in metro-Atlanta, 1,200 nationwide.

“As ALDI continues to grow in Atlanta, we are pleased to open these new locations to help more customers stretch their dollars even further,” said Thom Behtz, Jefferson division vice president for ALDI. “As important as price is, there’s only one way to attract and keep shoppers: You have to have quality products.”

Customers will get to sample products from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the opening day.

ALDI will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. ALDI accepts cash, debit and EBT cards.
