- Make sure to tune in next week to see Woodstock local Bryce Leatherwood as he performs on the NBC competition show, The Voice. The show airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and streams on Peacock the day after it airs on TV. The home audience now has the chance to vote for its favorite and the winner will be named during the live finale airing on December 12 and 13. (NBC Insider)
- Another Woodstock local to cheer on, Caroline Smith, has signed with the University of Georgia soccer team as a forward. Prior to signing with the Bulldogs, Smith played with the United Futbol Academy Elite Clubs National League (UFA ECNL) and Blessed Trinity High School, where she was the leading scorer in 2022. Along with Smith, six other players were added to the Bulldogs for the 2023 season. (Georgia Bulldogs)
- The Cherokee County Animal Shelter is holding its regular Saturday adoption event this morning. All available animals can be seen online here. A QR code at the front door of the shelter will become active starting at 10 a.m. today, please scan the QR code to enter the "virtual line." The shelter adopts on a first come, first served basis, so animals can't be put on hold. The adoption fee includes spay or neuter, heartworm and leukemia testing, initial vaccinations, deworming, flea preventative, microchipping and more. (Cherokee County Animal Shelter via Facebook)

- Farm. Fresh. Market. is a great place to find lots of locally grown and created products, all in one spot. The market is open every Saturday on Market Street in Downtown Woodstock until December 31. (8:30 - noon)
- Yoga at the Library for ages 17 and up. The class is perfect for beginners, and certified yoga instructor Jigna Patel will lead. Please bring your own mat to this class at the Woodstock Library, 7735 Main Street. (11 a.m. - noon)
- Lauren Nossett in-person event: You can pre-order the author's new book "The Resemblance" online here. The meet and greet will be held at FoxTale Book Shoppe, 105 E. Main Street, Suite 138. (1 - 3 p.m.)
- Woodstock Fall Cocktail Crawl: Take a walk around the downtown area while sipping specialty cocktails and bites from participating bars and restaurants. Tickets include a long list of goodies, please see the post for more information. There will also be a professional photographer and raffles for prizes. The registration bar is Reformation Brewery, 105 Elm Street. (1 - 6 p.m.)
- Maker Bar is every second Saturday of the month. Drop by to create a project in 30 minutes or less at Made Mercantile, 8636 Main Street. (3 - 4 p.m.)
- Jennifer Coburn in-person event: You can pre-order the author's new book "Cradles of the Reich" online here. The meet and greet will be held at FoxTale Book Shoppe, 105 E. Main Street, Suite 138. (3 - 5 p.m.)
- Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony features drinks, shopping and even a pop up performance from Woodstock Arts. There will be Grinch characters ready for pictures with you and yours, a holiday craft station, stilt walkers and more. The tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m. at The Outlet Shoppes, 915 Ridgewalk Parkway. (3 - 7 p.m.)

- Eagle Watch Chili Cookoff & Grown Up Games is open to the public and is being held in the Eagle Watch subdivision on Eagle Watch Drive. Along with the chili cookoff, there will be a silent auction, local vendors, NFL games streaming on a Tailgate Truck, a live DJ, food and bar trucks, kids activities and grown up games for adults 21 years and older, including cornhole, basket pong, "frisbeer" and tug of war. Tickets include chili tasting and voting. Proceeds will benefit The North Georgia Angel House. (1 - 5 p.m.)
- Makers Mash: Check out and shop local artists and makers at Reformation Brewery, 105 Elm Street. (1 - 6 p.m.)
- Discovering Disc Golf: Learn a basic level of the sport, play a round and take home a disc from the class at the Prodigy Par 2 Disc Golf Course at Dupree Park, 513 Neese Road. (2 - 3:30 p.m.)
- Harvest Festival: The Factory Church is holding the family-friendly event on the Event Green in Downtown Woodstock. There will be bounce houses, carnival games, face painting, an Italian ice truck, a costume contest at 4 p.m. and more. If it rains, the event will be moved to Woodstock Elementary School. (2 - 5 p.m.)

- Leaning Ladder offers great hands-on and demonstration classes at its shop on East Main Street. The events tend to fill up pretty quickly, so here are the next few events with tickets still available: November 16, Black Garlic for the Thanksgiving Table with Chef Oakley (demonstration class). November 18, Beef Pho with Chef Sunisa (hands-on and demonstration class). December 6, Beef Masterclass with Chef Kyle (demonstration class). The full calendar can be found here.
- Made Mercantile also offers wonderful events that fill quickly, here are its next few: November 19, Ink and Drink - Letterpress Cards with Beau Paper Co. - Next Saturday, Woodstock Parks and Recreation is holding its "'Tis the Season to be Green!" recycling and paper shredding event. Items that can be accepted for recycling free of charge include electronics, batteries, cell phones and more. Items that can be brought in for a fee include televisions for $25, projection televisions for $40, CRT monitors for $10 and LCD monitors with broken screens for $5. You can view the entire list of accepted items here. You can bring your paper and electronic items to the parking lot of Woodstock Elementary School, located at 230 Rope Mill Road, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a cash-only, drive-through event - the team will unload your items for you. - On December 3, the Cherokee County Recycling Center is holding an electronics recycling event. Items that can be accepted for recycling free of charge include personal computers, laptops, modems, floppy and disk drives, printers, batteries and more. Items that can be brought in for a fee include televisions for $25, CRT monitors for $10, large projection televisions for $40 and LCD monitors for $5. You can view the entire list of accepted items here. You can bring your electronic items to the Cherokee County Administration Building, located at 1130 Bluffs Parkway in Canton, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a cash-only, drive-through event.
