Here are the top three stories in Woodstock-Towne Lake today:
- Cherokee Recreation & Parks is looking for volunteers for The Great Pumpkin Fest on October 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cherokee Veterans Park in Canton. Volunteers will help with set up, the game and craft area, archery and cleanup. The time spent counts towards community service service hours, if needed. - Registration is open for the "small town, small works" exhibit at the Reeves House. The exhibit will run from October 27 to December 23. To enter, you must live within 15 miles of Woodstock and the piece you are entering must be 15-inch by 15-inch or smaller, including the frame. All local artists are encouraged to enter their work for consideration. Registration closes on October 3. You can apply online until then. - Auditions for the annual production of “A Christmas Carol” at Woodstock Arts are Sunday and Monday, September 18 and 19 at 6 p.m. Video auditions will be accepted until September 19, and those can be sent to the director Zach Stolz at zach@woodstockarts.org. - "Taste of Woodstock" will be on the Woodstock Arts Event Green downtown Thursday! You can pre-purchase food tickets at the Visitors Center on Main Street or get them during the event at booths located at the entrances along Market Street at Elm and Oak Streets. - Classes at Leaning Ladder are all sold out up until the "Italian Trattoria" demonstration class on September 22. Tickets sell out very quickly at Leaning Ladder, so here are the next few upcoming classes with tickets available: "Croissant Class: Hands-On Class" on September 25.
