  1. The Cherokee County School District is holding an informational session today to go over how partnering with local schools might be right for you and your business. Drop in any time between 4 - 6 p.m. to speak with school leaders and partnership ambassadors from the district and enjoy some coffee and great information. The district asks that anyone interested read through their partnership page online prior to heading over to the School Board Auditorium at 1205 Bluffs Parkway in Canton. (Cherokee County School District via Facebook)
  2. Visit Woodstock has created a brand new marketing campaign calling for people to use Woodstock as a base camp for visits to the North Georgia mountains. The Woodstock Visitors Center has new shirts (I spy a ringer t-shirt!), coffee, kids goods, a custom sparkling water from Reformation Brewery and many more items bearing the new campaign slogan: Woodstock, Base Camp to North Georgia. Reformation's new Base Camp beer can be enjoyed at the brewery, and there will also be a new mobile visitors center showing up at local events in the near future. (Downtown Woodstock via Facebook)
  3. A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of making terroristic threats in relation to the bomb threat made towards Etowah High School on September 28. The 15-year-old female was identified as a suspect through phone records and witnesses to the incident, she is currently being held without bond. No further information has been released at this time. (WSB-TV Atlanta)
  4. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office has created a recruiting podcast to share information about the internal workings and divisions in the Sheriff's Office. The podcast, "C.S.O. What You Need to Know," has five episodes made so far that can be viewed on many different streaming services, including Spotify and Amazon Music. The home base for the podcast is here.
