  1. An adult has gone missing out of Cherokee County. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is searching for Laura Ann Linde, a 65-year-old woman who was last seen on Saturday. Linde was supposed to meet up with friends for dinner but never made it there. She is described as 4 feet, 11 inches and 95 pounds. No clothing description was provided. She was last heard from via text message at 6 p.m. on Saturday. She drives a grey Nissan Sentra with the tag SAJ4613. If you have any information, please contact the sheriff's office at 678-493-4080 or 9-1-1. (Atlanta News First)
  2. Three more teens have run away in Cherokee County. The Sheriff's Office is searching for three females that went missing from Sam Nelson Road in Canton at around 9 p.m. on Sunday night. Destiny White, 17, was last seen wearing all black carrying several bags and is described as 5 feet, 9 inches and 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Alyssa Smith, 16, was last seen wearing a green "Rick and Morty" sweatshirt, red Elmo slides and a maroon bonnet and is described as 5 feet, 2 inches and 150 pounds with dark purple hair and blue eyes. Trinity Waters, 14, was last seen wearing all black and is described as 5 feet, 5 inches and 110 pounds with red hair and hazel eyes.   3. An accident in Holly Springs took the life of a Woodstock man yesterday. The tragedy occurred when the car driven by 37-year-old Craig Brown hit and went under a tow truck near the Holly Street Bridge. The tow truck was loading a disabled vehicle in the emergency lane when the car hit. I-575 was shut down for hours, but did reopen around 4 p.m. The accident is under investigation, the tow truck driver was injured but released from the hospital after receiving treatment for minor injuries.   4. Homeowners of Cherokee County, here's a reminder that the deadline to file for real property exemptions for the current tax year is April 1. There are a few types of exemptions that homeowners in the county can take advantage of this year. The standard homestead exemption is for all homeowners. There's a senior school tax exemption for those over 62. There are exemptions for those that are disabled and more.   5. A home on Yorkshire Court in Woodstock was heavily damaged in a fire on Sunday. Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) was called out to the home around 7 p.m. and arrived to visible flames and smoke coming from the roof. The damage sustained was mainly to the chimney, bathroom and attic. There were no residents in the home at the time. The fire is currently under investigation. (Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch)
  6. More than 100 area senior students met with local companies this month at Chattahoochee Tech for a Mmanufacturing lunch and learn session. The event brought together students and local companies, including Cobb EMC, Georgia Power, Pilgrim's Pride Corp. and Roytec Industries, among many others, to network and learn about jobs in the area and related manufacturing program offerings at Chattahoochee Tech. The event included a tour of the school's Center for Advanced Manufacturing and explored the Precision Machining and Manufacturing and Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Technology programs.
