Woodstock Man Charged With Home Invasion, Assault
Woodstock police say Mikel Kelley entered the home of his child's mother, attacked a person and stole some items from the residence.

WOODSTOCK, GA — A Woodstock man was arrested and charged late last week with a slew of felony offenses following a domestic dispute.
Mikel Carl Kelley was arrested Sept. 28 and charged with one count of home invasion in the first degree, home invasion in the second degree, aggravated assault, burglary, battery, criminal damage to property in the second degree, theft by taking, financial transaction card theft and criminal trespassing, Cherokee County Adult Detention Center records show.
Woodstock Police Sgt. Ronald Hughes said Kelley allegedly forced entry into the home of his child's mother and while inside, he struck another male inside the house.

"He tore up the house a good bit and stole a few items," Hughes told Patch. Kelley fled the scene, but was apprehended during a traffic stop later in the morning.
Sgt. Hughes said no serious injuries were reported during the incident. Jail records show he was booked into the Adult Detention Center at 8:15 a.m. Friday. Cherokee Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jay Baker said Kelley remains held without bond.
