Woodstock Police Seek Identity Theft Suspects
Woodstock police say the man and woman tried to use a resident's identity to buy more than $4,500 in merchandise at a Chamblee store.
WOODSTOCK, GA — The Woodstock Police Department is asking the public to help them identify a woman accused of stealing a resident's identity in an attempt to buy thousands of dollars worth of items last month at a store in Chamblee.
Two individuals entered a home improvement store in Chamblee around 4:45 p.m. Sept. 18 and used a Woodstock resident's identity to try to purchase $4,500 in merchandise. The victim, the owner of Queen Custom Couture at 9010 Main Street, filed a complaint last month with the Woodstock Police Department alleging about $16,000 in dresses and accessories were stolen from her store.
According to that incident report provided by the agency, the owner also said someone tried to use her identity to purchase items at Lowe's at 4950 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.
