Woodstock Summer Concert Series Kicks Off Saturday
The 2022 season of the Woodstock Summer Concert Series will kick off on Saturday at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater.

WOODSTOCK, GA — The 2022 season of the Woodstock Summer Concert Series will kick off on Saturday, May 14 at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater with Marshall Charloff & the Purple Xperience, the most authentic production of Prince and The Revolution hailing from Prince’s hometown. The concert is free to attend, and it starts at 7:30 p.m.
Th 24th season of the Woodstock Summer Concert Series is presented by the City of Woodstock, Carriage KIA, and Woodstock Parks and Recreation. Free shuttle buses will run on Saturday from 5-11:45 p.m. from three locations: Northside Cherokee Medical Offices Parking Deck on Towne Lake Pkwy, Woodstock City Church on Ridgewalk Pkwy, and Little River Elementary School on Trickum Road.
The City of Woodstock has released the list of musical acts who will open for the headliners at each show. Two of the opening acts are local musicians: Jonathan Peyton and the Whiskey Rose Band. Songwriter Prisca will open for Marshall Charloff and the Purple Xperience at the first show in the series on Saturday, May 14. Prisca is a soulful pop songstress and recording artist who has written songs for Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, Jessie McCartney, and others. She was handpicked by Kelly Clarkson to share the stage during her Piece by Piece tour. On Saturday, June 11th, Americana Folk artist Michael Logen will open for Sister Hazel. Based in Nashville, Logan is a songwriter whose songs have been featured on TV shows like “Nashville” and “One Tree Hill.”

Woodstock’s Jonathan Peyton will open for Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors at the concert on Saturday, July 9. Jonathan writes emotion-evoking songs that tell a story and captivate audiences by their relatability and honesty. Jonathan and his wife, Abigail, have not only planted their musical roots in Woodstock but their family as well. The Whiskey Rose Band will open for Scotty McCreery on Saturday, Sept. 10. As one of North Georgia’s premier country and rock bands, the group will bring a variety of music from over five decades and an unmatched energy to the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater.
