LAHAINA, HI — As the death toll climbs to at least 106 in deadly wildfires on Maui, residents of Lahaina are finding themselves homeless and left with nothing.
Meanwhile, survivors on Maui are contending with intermittent power and poor cell service as they seek help rebuilding their lives.
Thousands are staying in shelters, hotel rooms and Airbnb units, or with friends. Around 2,000 homes and businesses still don’t have electricity, Maui County said Tuesday night.
