• Desalination plant on Oahu nearing construction after three decades of work (staradvertiser.com) — A long-planned desalination plant is finally set to rise on former federal land in Kalaeloa, with construction expected to start as soon as spring and operations targeted for 2028. The facility will initially serve nearby industrial users, freeing up groundwater for surrounding communities while helping offset supply lost after the Red Hill fuel contamination and anticipated growth in the ʻEwa region.
