• Suspect taken into custody in connection with deadly Haleakalā Hwy traffic collision (mauinow.com) — A Wailuku woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Haleakalā Highway that also claimed the life of a 19-year-old Makawao man. Police say the suspected driver, wanted on an active no-bail warrant, has now been taken into custody as investigators continue probing what caused the deadly Pukalani collision.
