• Caldwell Salvation Army prepares to serve families this Christmas with gifts and food (kivitv.com) — Caldwell families in need can receive Christmas gifts and holiday food boxes through the Caldwell Salvation Army’s annual program, which serves about 500 families each year. Volunteers, including local homeschool students, are sorting toys and turkeys now, with food boxes available first-come, first-served starting December 18 at 10 a.m. The effort highlights how Caldwell neighbors are rallying to support one another.
   

• Caldwell High School's TRIO Upward Bound program hosts 2nd annual Christmas Mariachi concert (ktvb.com) — Caldwell families can head to Caldwell High School this Thursday, Dec. 18, for a Christmas mariachi concert supporting local TRIO Upward Bound students. The evening features performances by Mariachi Cantares De Mexico and Los Jinetes, plus student stories about how the college-prep program has shaped their futures. Proceeds fund life-expanding trips and opportunities for Caldwell teens.
   

• Idaho first half of property tax payments due Saturday (idahocapitalsun.com) — If you own property in Caldwell, you have until Dec. 22 to make at least the first half of your 2025 tax payment without penalties at the Canyon County offices. You can pay in person at the administration building on N. 11th Avenue, by mail to the Caldwell P.O. Box, or online, with interest and late fees starting after that date.
