- Firefighters in Idaho Falls recently raised more than $54,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The money was raised as part of Fill the Boot, a national fundraising campaign that takes place in more than 2,000 locations around the United States. The Idaho Falls Fire Department broke its previous year's record of $53,178.32. (Post Register)
- An Idaho Falls woman has been arrested after reportedly backing her car into a man and knocking him onto the pavement. Police say 31-year-old Chelsea Nicole Lancaster was having an argument with the victim outside a residence when the incident occurred. She has been charged with battery-domestic violence with traumatic injury and faces up to 10 years in prison. (Idaho State Journal)
- Children under 18 are now eligible for new "restricted" library cards, which limit the kinds of materials they can check out from the Idaho Falls Library. Parents will have the option to choose whether their child has an unrestricted card or a restricted card. With a restricted card, library patrons will only be able to check out books from the ground-level children's section of the library. (LocalNews8.com)
