- The Idaho Falls community is rallying around a family who recently lost everything in an accident on the Snake River. The Glore family was reportedly living out of their camp trailer when Jay Glore lost control of the truck he driving and veered into the water. Glore contracted hypothermia, and the family's belongings were lost to the river currents. The Idaho Falls community held a fundraiser for the Glores on Friday and has established a GoFundMe to support their recovery. (East Idaho News)
- Jude Ride Idaho will host its Free Family Bike Event today, Jun. 17, at Melaleuca Field. The event features a variety of free attractions including bike safety checks, bike challenge shirts for kids, food and drink, and bike helmets for the first 400 participants. There will also be a free 3.5-mile Family Bike Ride around the Freeman Park Path at 12:00 p.m. (LocalNews8.com)
- Multiple vehicles were damaged in a structure fire on South Rollandet Avenue on Thursday evening. The Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to the scene with three fire engines, two ambulances, a ladder truck, and a battalion chief when smoke was detected at the auto shop around 7:30 p.m. Officials say nobody was inside the building at the time of the fire, and there were no reported injuries.
