- Some Idaho Falls residents have experienced flooding three times in the past three weeks. On Monday, Jun. 12, the intersection of South Lee Avenue and East 15th Street was flooded and the underpass next to Yellowstone Highway on 17th Street was shut down for 15-30 minutes due to flooding. According to Danielle Stimpson, a resident of 15th Street, it floods every time it rains and the city will not update the sewer lines, which are from 1908. On Tuesday, Jun. 13, the city sent survey crews to assess the drainage system in the area. (Post Register)
- Employees from a local bank and their families are helping paint a veteran's home in Idaho Falls for the Zions Bank Paint-a-Thon project! Marine veteran Paul Pettyjohn, his pregnant wife, and their three kids are excited to see the results of the new paint job, landscaping, and deck projects. The annual week-long project began on Monday, Jun. 12, and is expected to finish today, Jun. 15. (East Idaho News)
- Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho announced its 2023 Summer Movie Series will take place at Melaleuca Field, 900 Jim Garshow Way, in Idaho Falls! "The Avengers" will play on Jun. 24, "Star Wars: Force Awakens" on Jul. 15, and "Top Gun: Maverick" on Aug. 12. The free events begin at 7:00 p.m. and include costume parades, GRIT League obstacle course, raffle prizes, trivia, and more. (East Idaho News)

- The Idaho Falls Public Library (IFPL) might have found a solution to the threat of book bans at public libraries. Recently, IFPL rescinded all library cards for children and replaced them with two different types of children's library cards. Now, parents can choose whether they want their kids to have a restricted card, only for books from the children’s section, or an unrestricted card, which enables them to check out anything in the adult section except movies and graphic novels.
