- The Project Home Safe program has been launched by the Idaho Falls Police Department. The program seeks to have people with children or dependent adults who are prone to wandering submit a form to the police with relevant information in case their child or disabled relative goes missing. The police department hopes that having people submit this information to their online form will help officers to find them faster and return them home. The form asks parents to submit recent photos, triggers and calming strategies, and other relevant information so police can best approach and help them. (LocalNews8.com)
- Intermountain Packing employees in Idaho Falls were evacuated after some started feeling sick. The meat packing plant adopted a new process using steam to remove blood, but the process made some workers feel sick. One was sent to the hospital to be tested and three other employees went to the doctor their own. The fire department tested the air before letting workers back into the plant. (LocalNews8.com)
- A dog was shot in an Idaho Falls neighborhood. Police are investigating the death of a family's dog after the owners found her dead outside while they were taking the carpet out of their home from the recent floods. The dog's owner, Xavier Desforges, saw a man with a rifle in the neighborhood and asked him what he was doing with it and if he shot a dog, which the man denied. A surveillance camera has caught an image of the man standing at the edge of their driveway with a gun. Police are asking anyone who can identify him to call the police department. (KSL.com)
