• Kuna police urge residents to lock vehicles, remove firearms after multiple weekend burglaries (kivitv.com) — Kuna police are investigating several connected vehicle burglaries near North Ten Mile and West Ardell and are especially concerned about a stolen firearm. Officers are asking residents to remove guns, cash, and valuables from vehicles and keep them locked. Anyone who saw suspicious activity early Dec. 27 is urged to share tips with Ada County dispatch or the sheriff’s office app. 
• Basketball Recap: Boise Extends Winning Streak to Five (maxpreps.com) — Kuna High’s girls basketball team fell 49-31 to Boise, extending the Kavemen’s losing streak to four and dropping their record to 1-9. Boise’s Libby Nelson and Ashlyn Waldram led the scoring, while Kuna now looks to regroup before visiting Centennial on January 2 after a short holiday break.
