• Son, grandsons of Idaho pastor fight city over ‘Soviet Moscow' sticker charges (idahostatesman.com) — Moscow residents from a prominent Christ Church family are pressing a federal lawsuit claiming the city selectively enforced its anti-posting ordinance after their satirical “Soviet Moscow” stickers mocked COVID rules. A judge has allowed key free-speech and selective-enforcement claims to move forward, with the next hearing set for Jan. 21 in Boise, keeping Moscow’s long-running tensions over religion, politics, and pandemic rules in the spotlight.

• Vandal Athletics Seeks Hall of Fame Nominations (koze.com) — Vandal fans in Moscow can now nominate standout athletes, coaches, staff, teams, and contributors for the 2026 Vandal Athletics Hall of Fame class, tied to next September’s football home opener. Nominations are open online through Feb. 1, 2026, with later submissions rolling to the 2028 cycle.
