• ITD announces winners for Name a Snowplow contest (eastidahonews.com) — A Post Falls High School class helped name one of Idaho’s snowplows “SnowbiWanKenobi,” earning a spot among 12 winning entries in a statewide Idaho Transportation Department contest. The plow names will appear on equipment across Idaho, and ITD plans classroom visits to teach students about snowplow operations and winter driving safety.
   

• Alliance promotes attainable housing through local policy (cdapress.com) — Post Falls is home to “Miracle on Britton,” a 28-lot deed-restricted neighborhood highlighted as a model for attainable homeownership for local workers. Housing advocates say this Post Falls project and similar efforts statewide depend on city-level policy changes, like allowing smaller lots and more diverse housing types, to keep homes affordable for Idaho families.
