ITD testing new snowplow lighting (eastidahonews.com) — New snowplow lighting being tested out of Rigby could change what you see on local highways this winter, with brighter strobes, more rear lights, and a new green whip light on the plow wing. ITD hopes the upgrades will cut down on snowplow collisions, and is urging Rigby-area drivers to slow down, give plows space, and stay alert on icy roads.
   

2. Idaho man lost a leg. Here's why he feels gratitude (ksl.com) — A Rigby husband and father is recovering after losing part of his right leg in early December, following a devastating accidental shooting earlier this year. Daniel Bradshaw, who was gravely injured while handling a homemade shotgun in Blackfoot, credits first responders, surgeons, and his community’s support for his survival. He’s now facing rehabilitation and amputation with determination to return to the outdoors.
   

3. Two men charged after brutal beating leaves Idaho Falls bar patron severely injured (eastidahonews.com) — A Rigby man is among two people charged after a June fight outside Ford’s Bar in Idaho Falls left a 28-year-old patron with serious head and facial injuries. Investigators say surveillance video shows the men repeatedly striking and kicking the victim before leaving the scene. Both defendants are out on bond and face significant prison time if convicted, while remaining presumed innocent.
   

4. All-State: East Idaho earns 19 first-team selections, with Shelley's Higham, Hillcrest's Gines, and Butte County's Lyon and Simpson earning top honors (eastidahonews.com) — Rigby volleyball standout Brinley Bybee has been named to the 6A All-State first team, with teammates Madison Jensen and Breleigh Youngstrom also honored. The statewide lists spotlight how well eastern Idaho programs performed this season, including major awards for Shelley, Hillcrest and Butte County after deep championship runs.
