- St. Lukes Children’s Injury Prevention is bringing awareness to the dangers of hot cars as temperatures climb to 80 degrees. A car sitting in a parking lot can reach 100 degrees in 10 minutes when it is 80 degrees outside. Children and elderly left in the car can't regulate their body heat as well as adults and it can be very dangerous or even deadly to leave them in the vehicle. Last year across the nation, 30 children died from being left in the car. (KMVT)
- The City of Twin Falls will be hosting the annual 4th of July Fireworks Show at the College of Southern Idaho. The fireworks will be viewable from many areas around the campus and will start at 10:15 p.m. on Jul. 4. The city is encouraging residents to enjoy the public show rather than buy illegal aerial fireworks. If you do purchase fireworks, they may be lit now through Jul. 5 during the hours of 8:00 a.m. until midnight. (KIVI TV)
- New business Duck Donuts celebrated its one-year anniversary over the weekend. The restaurant held an anniversary party on Saturday where they offered free doughnuts, face painting, and a raffle. Owners Jessica Wetsel and her husband Seth say they have learned a lot about opening a business in the year they have been operating and hope to continue to get more involved with the community.
