Here are the top three stories today in Twin Falls:

  1. The original play "Lunch With Judy" is returning to Twin Falls at the Lamphouse Theatre for two weekends. The play delves into the behind-the-scenes life of Judy Garland, spanning 30 years, as seen through the eyes of a friend she meets on an MGM studio lot. With a small and intimate setting of only 50 seats, the show promises a dynamic and emotional experience for the audience. The play will run from May 18 to 20 and May 25 to 27, offering evening and matinee performances. (KMVT)
  2. The Idaho State Police is leading an investigation into an officer-involved shooting incident in Twin Falls County that resulted in critical injuries to a 45-year-old male. Law enforcement officers attempted to serve a civil protection order, but the individual reportedly became uncooperative and armed himself with a knife and later a shotgun, leading to shots being fired. The man was airlifted to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition; no law enforcement officers were injured. The Critical Incident Task Force (CITF) is conducting the investigation in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies and the prosecutor's office. (East Idaho News)
  3. The Twin Falls Titans, a 12-U Cal Ripken League baseball team, has qualified for the Cal Ripken League World Series after winning the state championship. Representing Twin Falls and Idaho, the team will compete in the tournament in Missouri from Aug. 2 to 12 against 24 teams, including international competitors. With a successful track record from previous tournaments, the Titans have a strong chance of performing well in the World Series. (KEZJ)
