Here are the top three stories in Twin Falls today:
- The Twin Falls School District is hosting a migrant summer school program at Oregon Trail Elementary School, catering to students whose families follow the agricultural job market and often move between cities or states. The program includes field trips to community places like the fire department, allowing students to explore future careers and learn important lessons, while teachers emphasize the significance of introducing them to various opportunities early in life. The program also plans to visit the Twin Falls Police Department and the public library. (KMVt 11)
- The Lamphouse Movie Theatre in Twin Falls is opening its doors to children throughout the summer, offering kid-friendly movies and cartoons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The theater, which recently removed its alcohol licenses, aims to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for the community, including kids, college students, and young adults. Tickets and snacks are priced at $2 dollars during the summer event. (KMVT 11)
- The Twin Falls County Fair is gearing up for its upcoming event, and tickets are now on sale. With fewer than 70 days until the fair opens its gates in Filer, attendees have the opportunity to secure their tickets early.
