Twin Falls School District helps homeless students have a merry Christmas with community support (kivitv.com) — Twin Falls School District is rallying community donors this week to make sure more than 400 local students experiencing homelessness still get food, warm hats, and Christmas gifts. Staff and volunteers have spent weeks gathering wish lists and handmade items so kids facing housing insecurity can return to school in January feeling more like their peers.
   

2. Magic Valley 11-man all-state football players led by three two-way selections (kmvt.com) — Magic Valley football players, including several standouts from Twin Falls High School, have been named to the 2025 11-man all-state teams. Twin Falls lineman Dillon Spenser and defensive back Dalton Carter earned first-team honors, while running back Jackson Sattelberg made the second team alongside top athletes from Kimberly, Declo, Buhl, Filer, Jerome and Minico.
   

3. Citizens Against Poaching hotline helps protect Idaho's wildlife resources (kivitv.com) — Idaho Fish and Game is urging residents, including those around Twin Falls, to use the Citizens Against Poaching hotline whenever they spot suspicious wildlife activity. With only about 90 officers statewide, tips are crucial to catching poachers, as shown by recent cases south of Twin Falls. Hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to call 1-800-632-5999 or report online.
   

4. Suspect Pleads Guilty to Four Southern Idaho Murders (dailyfly.com) — Twin Falls County’s sheriff’s office joined several agencies in a major investigation that ended with a Burley man pleading guilty to four first-degree murders in Cassia and Minidoka counties. Prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty, and the 56-year-old will receive life sentences without parole, sparing victims’ families years of trials and appeals. Sentencing is set for March 9, 2026, in Cassia County.
