  1. The new Pinecrest Academy is set to open for the 2023-2024 school year! Construction for the tuition-free public charter school began in January 2023 and plans to welcome students on Aug. 16, 2023. However, not all of the amenities will be available and the cafeteria won’t be offering a hot lunch. If you’d like to enroll your child at Pinecrest Academy, visit the school’s website here. A budget hearing will be held on Jun. 27 at 8:30 a.m. at 905 Shoshone Street. All are welcome to attend. (News Radio 1310 KLIX)
  2. Over 150 pickleball players have gathered at Frontier Park for the Twin Falls Father’s Day Bash pickleball tournament! This is the fifth year the tournament has taken place, but the six new pickleball courts have helped set the participation record. The revenue for the event is going toward improving Frontier Park and possibly adding more amenities. Today (Jun. 17) is the last day of the tournament and you can catch the mixed doubles beginning at 8:00 a.m.! Food trucks will be on the premises. (KMVT)
  3. The Twin Falls Zoological Center recently held a gala in preparation for the opening of the Twin Falls Zoo. They had tortoises and other animals on display and also offered live music and food. The zoo is currently looking for business sponsorships for animal care and exhibits, and plans to open within the month! If you’d like to volunteer and help out at the Twin Falls Zoological Center, more information is on the website here. (KMVT)
