- The Twin Falls Fire Department and the regional airpot teamed up for FAA certification. A prop plane was donated by 139 Fire to simulate a plane disaster scenario for training. The exercise helped the fire department and the airport operations staff to work together to efficiently take care of an incident at the airport while simultaneously familiarizing them with the equipment. The training has to be done each year, and the training for this year comes at a perfect time just a few weeks before the Magic Valley Air Show. (KMVT)
- Battle of the Nurseries, an event which helps local schools with supplies, has begun in the Magic Valley. Three nurseries, Moss in Jerome, Webb in Twin Falls, and Windsor's in Kimberly are competing to collect the most school supplies for the upcoming school year. If you would like to donate, keep in mind that whichever nursery you donate to will donate the materials to the schools in their respective cities. Donations can include notebooks, pencils, pens, or other common school supplies(News Radio 1310 KLIX)
- The Twin Falls Sheriff's Office is urging cyclists to follow riding rules on the roads as temperatures get warmer. The main laws for Twin Falls are bicyclists do not have to stop at a stop sign if there are no vehicles near the intersection, or if no vehicles are stopped at a sign in a different direction. Riders must stop at a red light but can go through it if there is no traffic. Helmets are not required by law but encouraged, and if you cannot maintain the speed limit on a road, you must stay to the far right in the right lane. (KMVT)
