- On Friday, Jul. 7, two Twin Falls coffee shops will collaborate with a local charity, the Jae Foundation, to raise funds. Dutch Bros. will donate one dollar from every drink sold at both of its Twin Falls locations to support mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and assistance for those who have lost loved ones. The partnership reflects Dutch Bros.' commitment to giving back to organizations that make a positive impact on their community, and the fundraiser will take place at both of their Twin Falls locations throughout the day. - Habitat for Humanity, in partnership with Twin Falls United Methodist Church and CrossRoads Missions Help Build Hope, kicked off a new home construction project on Saturday with almost 80 walls framed by enthusiastic volunteers. The project aims to provide an affordable and accessible home for the Earl and Emily Petersen family, who have a daughter with spina bifida. Habitat for Humanity of the Magic Valley relies on community support, including donations of money, land, and building materials from the ReStore, to meet the increasing demand for affordable housing in the area. - The splash pad at First Federal Bank Park underwent repairs to address peeling issues, resulting in a temporary closure. However, it has now been restored and officially reopened, providing a fun and safe way for families to cool off during the summer. The splash pad offers various water features and interactive elements, operating from dawn until dusk and allowing free access to residents and visitors. (kezj.com)
