  1. In case you missed it, law enforcement in Twin Falls is warning drivers about the dangers of blindly trusting GPS navigation in unfamiliar rural areas during the 100 Deadliest Days. Earlier this week police responded to a driver who became stranded on a dirt road after their GPS led them stray. The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office advises drivers to prioritize main roads, use road signs as a reliable guide, and zoom out on their GPS to ensure they are taking familiar and safe routes. 2. A pleasant day on the water Monday turned into a thunderstorm, requiring assistance from the Sheriff's Office to bring people back to safety from the river. Important reminders include staying updated on weather forecasts, carrying life jackets on all vessels, following right-of-way rules, and parking correctly at Centennial Park to avoid towing. The Sheriff's Office emphasizes the enforcement of safety measures to prevent drownings and ensure a pleasant and secure experience on the water. (Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office via Facebook)
  3. While Western Day festivities were taking place, local businesses in downtown Twin Falls organized their own event called Crazy Dayz on Main. This family-friendly event featured local vendors, a petting zoo, and delicious food, aiming to attract visitors and boost sales for downtown shops. In addition, the Farmers Market is set to begin next Saturday and will continue every Saturday throughout the summer, providing another opportunity for community engagement and supporting local businesses.
