"The next strong system with chances for a wet snow/rain mix will approach Monday night with increasing coverage of snow into Tuesday," the weather service said on its Facebook page.

There is still uncertainty over the exact storm track on Monday and Tuesday, and the track would influence where snow accumulation would be highest.

The weather service said it appears there will be two waves of precipitation with the storm. The first will be Monday night into Tuesday morning, and a second will be on Tuesday afternoon.

Snow would be very heavy and very wet.

The weather service advised having a way to stay-up-to date on the forecast, and to plan ahead for possible travel impacts.
