Freezing Drizzle Possible Tuesday; Cool, Cloudy Weather For Illinois
If freezing drizzle does happen, then the evening commute on Tuesday could be slippery.
ILLINOIS — Cloudy and cool weather will continue for most of the week, as temperatures in the 30s are expected for the start of a new year, according to the National Weather Service.
The day will start sunny on Tuesday, before clouds return in the afternoon. Tuesday will have a high of 38 degrees.
"There is also a small (less than 10 percent) chance for some patchy drizzle and freezing drizzle [Tuesday] afternoon and evening, primarily north of I-80," the weather service said on its Facebook.

If freezing drizzle does happen, then the evening commute could be slippery.

Flurries and snow showers are possible on Wednesday, which will be cloudy and have a high of 35, according to the weather service. No major accumulation is expected.

Thursday and Friday will be partly cloudy, with a high of 34 on Thursday and a high of 36 on Friday, the weather service said.
