Illinois' Most Wanted Include Fugitive Groom, Escaped Inmates
The list includes parole violators and an absconder who is now wanted for a triple murder.

ILLINOIS — Only one Illinois fugitive is listed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list — and he's accused of the heinous crime of murdering his new bride just hours after their wedding ceremony. Estrella Carrera, 26, married then 30-year-old Arnoldo Jimenez in a ceremony at Chicago's city hall on Friday, May 11, 2012.
Less than 24 hours later, Carrera's family became concerned when she did not pick up her two children as planned. A family member asked the Burbank Police Department to conduct a well-being check at Carrera's condo. Carrera's lifeless body was found in the bathtub, wearing the same silver sequined cocktail dress she wore while celebrating her wedding with her family. Jimenez, the father of Carrera's youngest child, was nowhere to be found.
The FBI believes Jimenez, now 37, stabbed Carrera to death in his black Maserati as they were traveling home from their wedding reception in the early morning hours of May 12, 2012. The Cook County Medical Examiner determined Carrera died of multiple stab wounds. Her death was ruled a homicide, and a warrant for Jimenez' arrest was issued May 15. Two days later, he was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

In May of this year, days before the seventh anniversary of Carrera's death, the FBI added Jimenez to their Ten Most Wanted List. Federal authorities believe Jimenez may have fled to Durango, Mexico, specifically in the area of Santiago Papasquiaro. He may also frequent Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He has previously resided in Chicago, Illinois.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of Arnoldo Jimenez. He should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the FBI. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or contact their nearest American embassy or consulate.
