Passenger Killed In DUI Crash; 25-Year-Old Charged: DeKalb Police

The at-fault driver faces several felony charges, according to police.

DEKALB, IL — A 25-year-old man is charged with homicide after he was involved in a fatal crash in DeKalb while driving under the influence, according to police.

Officers responded around 1 a.m. Monday to a two-vehicle collision in the 1200 block of South 7th Street, police said. A passenger was seriously injured and died at a hospital, according to police.

James Corralejo was driving the at-fault vehicle, police said. He was arrested and charged with felony reckless homicide, aggravated felony driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death and driving under the influence of alcohol, according to police.
